Dr. Trevor Kuiper from Sioux Center Dental shares some alarming children’s dental statistics. He is conductiong a free “Give Kids A Smile Day” on February 20th (appointments are filled). Last year 35 kids local kids were served in eight hours and provided $25,000 worth of free dentistry.
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa (KTIV) - A Sioux Center dentist wants to promote better dental health for kids and is offering free dental care to students in Sioux Center.
Sioux Center Dental is preparing for a full day of free care for kids on February 20th, specifically for students identified from Kinsey Elementary School.
Over 70 kids have been identified in the Sioux Center School District after screenings with several dental issues, like active dental infections, or have reported dental pain during the school day.
Sioux Center Dental, owned and operated by Dr. Trevor Kuiper and his staff, provided free dental services to children in need on Tuesday. Several days of screenings were held at Sioux Center schools to determine the needs and recommendations for the children that would participate in the first “Give Kids a Smile” dental clinic. Kuiper says they served thirty children on Tuesday, providing a number of different dental services.
A Sioux Center dentist plans to provide free dental care for one day to kids in the community. Sioux Center Dental, owned and operated by Doctor Trevor Kuiper, will donate its facilities and staff to provide the free dental care to children on February 13th.
A Siouxland man unveiled his new smile Thursday with help from Sioux Center Dental.
We first met Matt Davelaar in December when he discovered he was the recipient of a $10,000 dental makeover from Sioux Center Dental. During the last few months, Davelaar received a few implants, fillings and a tooth removal or two. Thursday, he had his final check-up to unveil his new smile.
Faith, family, service is something of a family motto for Trevor Kuiper and his wife, Kara.
It also is a way of life that he strives to integrate into his work as owner of Sioux Center Dental.
A big smile can make or break a first impression, and now one northwest Iowa dentist is looking to provide one area man with a smile makeover.
This makeover was created as a way of giving back to someone who is selfless in all their actions.
SIOUX CENTER, Iowa (KCAU) – The month of April is Oral Cancer Awareness Month. One Siouxland dentistry is offering free screenings April 15th-18th.

It’s a gift nearly a month in the making. Thursday, a Sioux Center woman got her first look at an incredible Christmas gift all thanks to a local dentist who thought of a creative way to make a difference in his community.
“At the end of the day we’ve been given a special set of skills and we want to use those to help people as best we can,” said Dr. Trevor Kuiper.
Tami Vandenbrink didn’t even know she was nominated for Sioux Center Dental’s Smile Makeover Giveaway until her friend told her to check her email.
“She had nominated me for the makeover smile, the new smile contest, and I was one of seven finalists,” Tami said.
