What changes is Sioux Center Dental making to ensure staff and patient safety during the COVID-19 outbreak? Check out today’s Tuesday Tooth Talk to find out what things will be different, and what will stay the same with your experience here at Sioux Center Dental!
At Sioux Center Dental, we want to ensure that we are doing all we can to protect you and our staff from contributing to the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Because of this, you will notice some changes to your experience with us designed to ensure your safety during your visit. One thing you will notice is that every patient will be asked to complete a self-screening form that asks about your exposure levels to have a better understanding if it is safe for you or our other patients to continue with dental care at this time. We also ask that as few accompanying people as possible are brought into the office. Along with that, we will be taking infrared temperatures on every patient and staff member to make sure illness is not unknowingly brought into the office. Furthermore, while it might seem a little strange or scary to young children, the staff will be wearing masks the entire time patients are present in the office and will also be wearing face-shields during treatment. This will minimize the amount of spread of any aerosol particles in the air.
One thing that will not change is our dedication to our sterilization policy and how we thoroughly disinfect each room in between patients. We sterilize all instruments, and wipe every surface with medical-grade disinfectant between every patient visit. During any dental procedure, we have always gone above and beyond to minimize the amount of aerosol spray generated, so we will continue to mitigate the amount of spatter we generate while we improve your smile. If you have any questions or concerns, we are more than happy to field those and answer them as best we can! Please give us a call!
We know it is a difficult time for everyone, but we are doing everything we can to protect you, our staff, and the community from the spread of this virus and still make you feel comfortable and at home here at Sioux Center Dental. Enjoy the rest of your day, and stay safe out there!
